we made pizza.

pizza "festival" in elk, ca.








homemade wood burning brick pizza oven = most perfectly blistered crust.
this event has spawned a love affair and appreciation with the wood burning oven. it has also marked the beginning of a challenge to create the most amazing traditional and avant garde pizzas i will ever taste. i have to credit others at this event for their creations i would probably never have enjoyed otherwise -- spicy blackberry pizza won my vote for the day.
previously my favorite toppings were avocado, pineapple and fresh ground black pepper, but i have an idea for a gooey baked brie pie. now my world of pizza has completely expanded and horizons are unknown..
